David Coupland, Principal, started practice in Calgary in 1975 and soon became a principal in the firm of Clark James Coupland Architects. The firm completed such noteworthy buildings as University of Calgary Fine Arts Facility, SunLife Plaza, and Westmount Place. David has designed a number of correctional facilities for the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, the government of the Northwest Territories and has earned a reputation as one of Canada's leading authorities in prison design.

Leonard Kraemer, Principal, started his career in 1965 with the architectural firm of Clayton Bond & Mogridge, in 1969 with Stevenson Raines Barrett Hutton & Partners, in 1973 with RGO Design Group, in 1979 he formed his own interior design firm 'Leonard Kraemer Interior Design Ltd.,' and in 1983 he and James Taipale formed the partnership 'Kraemer Taipale Associates Ltd.. This young firm grew to become a leader in the design of corporate interiors for the oil and financial offices of the booming Calgary economy. Over the years, Leonard's portfolio has expanded to include the interiors of large industrial buildings, residences, restaurants, high-tech laboratories, banks, financial institutions and corporate head offices.
